The Rapska Trees of Sofie 12 (the 13th moon) orbiting Balinska Mariausa is in the disputed sector between the IPUP, Ensliar, and the Kriegien Empire. The Rapaska Trees feed off the Light Yawner’s exuviae which they shed every three decobreens. The Lite Yawners have been using Sofie 12 as their depository for their exuviae for many generations every since they found that the Rapska Trees flourish on the decomposition of the exuviae.
The fruit of the Rapska Tree is a central part of the diet of the Lite Yawners. Lite Yawners eat almost their body weight in Rapskaberries every other wake cycle. Lite Yawners spend 2/3rds of their existence in a catatonic state hooked to crystals and other devices used to guide vessels through the hyperholes of space which cuts down the travel times to various solar systems throughout the quadrant of the galaxy. This issue has made Balinksa Mariausa a valuable solar system. Control of the hyperholes could mean economic riches. Currently Balinska Mariausa is not aligned to any of the solar system political environments that surround its borders.
They have been very wary of any large political organization every since the Whisties attempted to take over the system but failed since they did not have the technical skills to use the guidance systems without the Lite Yawners.
